Would you like to be part of an organisation that counts on the professionalism, insight, expertise and passion of its staff to inspire individual recovery for the people they work with? Then join us as a Crisis Recovery Worker.

Recovery Focus is a new group of expert charities with the shared aim to inspire individual recovery nationwide. Between us we have a track record of more than 200 years of developing and running personalised services that work with people with mental health, substance misuse and other complex needs to achieve their ambitions.

Right now, one of our partners, Richmond Fellowship, is recruiting for 11 Crisis Recovery Workers for a new Crisis Services in Preston. The new service, launching between November 2017 and March 2018, will provide support and short term interventions for people experiencing a mental health crisis.

Day-to-day, you’ll support individuals to develop emotional management and personal life skills to achieve greater independence and self-esteem. You will support individuals to develop coping mechanisms and tools to better manage their mental health through 1:1’s and group activities. When it comes to liaising with statutory and voluntary agencies to give people access to a full range of services and support, again, we’ll rely on your expertise.

You will need to be a great listener, with a flexible approach and a flair for planning and prioritising a busy workload. You will enjoy motivating and engaging people in a range of developmental and rehabilitative activities. What’s more, you will have a good understanding of mental health issues and how they affect people and their loved ones.

We are recruiting for both Day and Waking Night staff to cover a 24 hour service, and a degree of flexibility with shift work is required. There are opportunities for full time and part time posts.

Subsequent salary progression up to a maximum of £17,070 will apply to this post, subject to the post holder meeting the eligibility and performance criteria.
