Right now, one of our partners, Richmond Fellowship, is looking for a Recovery Worker for their crisis service in Burnley. Our service provides a relaxing and tranquil environment to support people during a time of mental health crisis. Our service offers short term placements for up to seven days. Individuals will work with our team of experienced Recovery Workers on a tailored support plan to help manage their mental health and develop effective coping strategies.
Day-to-day, you’ll support individuals to develop emotional management and personal life skills to achieve greater independence and self-esteem. You will support individuals to develop coping mechanisms and tools to better manage their mental health. And, when it comes to liaising with statutory and voluntary agencies to give people access to a full range of services and support, again, we’ll rely on your expertise.
A great listener, with a flexible approach and a flair for planning and prioritising a busy workload, you love motivating and engaging people in a range of developmental and rehabilitative activities. What’s more, you have a good understanding of mental health issues and how they affect people. You will also need to be willing to participate in a 24/7 rota that includes waking nights and sleep-ins.
**The advertised salary includes sleep in shift payments; the postholder will be required to work approximately 4 sleep in shifts per month at £75 per shift.
Subsequent salary progression up to a maximum of £20,670 (inclusive of sleep ins) will apply to this post, subject to the post holder meeting the eligibility and performance criteria.
